Encryption & Security

Last updated: 5 January 2026

Legal Entity: OuViTel™ is a trademark of Urimata Ltda., São Paulo, Brazil.

OuViTel™ is built for real-world device operations: secure transport, controlled execution, and audit-friendly outcomes. This page explains how we protect data in transit, what we process to run the service, and how to evaluate privacy boundaries.

OuViTel Interface in Action

1. Encryption Overview

OuViTel™ protects print traffic using transport encryption (TLS/HTTPS).

Print jobs are transmitted over encrypted connections between your systems and OuViTel™, and between OuViTel™ and your local client. OuViTel™ operates as a secure transport and orchestration layer. Client-side / end-to-end content encryption is not enabled by default.

2. Security Model (Practical)

  • 🔒 Data in transit is encrypted (TLS/HTTPS)
  • 🖨️ A local client receives jobs and executes printing near the device
  • 🧾 Jobs can return status + reason codes to keep workflows auditable
  • 🧰 Built for reliability: retries, queue behavior, and diagnostics for real networks

Security is not only about encryption: predictable behavior, controlled execution, and clear audit trails reduce operational risk.

3. What OuViTel™ Processes

To operate the service reliably, OuViTel™ processes technical metadata and, depending on your configuration, may temporarily handle print payloads to deliver them to your local client.

  • Job identifiers
  • Printer / client connection status
  • Job size (for usage limits and billing)
  • Timestamps and delivery status (success / failure)

We do not sell or use document contents for advertising. We aim for minimal retention and tightly controlled access.

4. Keys, Ownership & Control

  • Keys may be generated and stored locally on the client machine
  • These keys are not used for end-to-end encryption of print content at this time
  • Key handling is reserved for future security features (e.g., optional client-side encryption)

If and when optional client-side encryption is enabled, this page will be updated with the exact security model and key-handling behavior.

5. Compliance & Privacy Posture

This security model is designed to support:

  • LGPD (Brazil)
  • GDPR (European Union)
  • Privacy-by-design and controlled operational access

OuViTel™ follows privacy-by-design principles: secure transport, minimal retention, and access controls. For regulated environments, we can support tailored deployment and governance requirements.

6. Service Availability

Encryption protects data in transit, not service availability.

Service availability and performance are governed by your selected service plan and SLA.

Best Effort License: No uptime guarantees, service provided on reasonable effort basis.

Premium License: 99.50% monthly uptime SLA with service credits for failures.
